    The Senior Financial Accountant will be focused on the entity, PLB Group Ltd. The role is to support the entity’s Financial Controller with the completion and review of monthly internal reporting, managing the appropriateness and accuracy of balance sheets, monitoring and managing cash flows, and supporting the financial processes for PLB Group Ltd.


    • Be responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations for all intercompany accounts, VAT accounts, fixed asset register, prepayments, accrued income and other accruals
    • Review and approve all journals between £10k and £100k
    • Ownership of the monthly payroll recharge
    • Department and cost centre reviews, including the ownership of direct and indirect costs and how they compare against budget
    • Preparation of HMRC submissions including VAT returns, intrastat and EC Sales reporting
    • Preparation of monthly Consolidation Packs to Group
    • Preparation of monthly reporting pack for Rabobank for asset lending facility
    • Preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
    • Audit support
    • Liaise with external advisors to coordinate corporate tax returns
    • Maintain daily cash forecast, including liaison with credit control and accounts payable for cash forecasts and payment runs  
    • Monitor foreign currency bank accounts
    • Ownership of cash with order accounts


    About you:

    • Qualified ACA/AACA/CIMA or equivalent
    • Experience using Netsuite an advantage
    • Good organisational skills and prioritisation
    • Excellent excel skills
    • Keen eye for detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • An analytical and problem solving mind set to understand, challenge and ask the relevant questions
    • Proactive approach to problem solving
    • Great communicator, able to work closely with senior management and non-financial people
    • Familiar with UK company reporting requirements for Statutory Accounts preparation
